THE BRIGHTEST COTTON
Giza 87 is an Egyptian Extra-Long Staple cotton, that is particularly known for the brilliance and resistance of its fibres that make it one of the most exclusive cottons in the world.
Giza 87 has unique characteristics: the fibre length and uniformity are remarkable (35 mm, with a uniformity index of 87.3%), while the strength is very high (44.60 g/tex). Its degree of brilliance, equal to 74.8 Rd, is among the highest of the Egyptian Extra-Long Staple cottons.
The plants of Giza 87 are grown exclusively in a small area east of the Nile delta thanks to the special climatic conditions and the fertility of the soil. This cotton is harvested manually and has an average annual production of five hundred bales.
ICA Yarns plays an active role in the cultivation of Giza 87 in Egypt and has a direct control of the production, inspecting every single batch and ensuring high quality standards.
